charging time of the battery

I am charging the 3.7v and 500 mah battery in the cyton board of Ultracortex 4 using my laptop's USB Port. I generally charge it for 10-15 mins so it might not get over charged. But it discharges very quickly. What is the recommended battery charging time?

You definitely want to be using a REAL lithium cell charger adapter. Your connecting the battery to the raw 5 volts of the usb port will likely be damaging it. The adapters have a usb plug on one side (to accept the 5 volts) and a JST connector to mate with the battery. They also have one or two LED lights to indicate charging status, and shut off the current when fully charged.
