Cyton+Daisy and External Triggering

Hello! We are a group of psychology students at the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela. We have very little programming and electronics experience but are interested in using the Ultracortex headset with 16 electrodes for our research project. We need to know if there is an easy way to externally mark the start and end of events during EEG recordings with the Cyton+Daisy board (External Triggering).
Also, can skin conductance and heart rate response devices be connected to the Cyton+Daisy Board inputs simultaneously with EEG signals to synchronize data acquisition?

Our thesis advisor wants to invest in OpenBCI products, but he needs to be sure that what we mentioned above will be fine.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi Sofia,

Have you looked at this page:

    https://docs.openbci.com/Cyton/CytonExternal/

You can connect various external 'trigger' sources such as photodiodes taped to a monitor, or external logic levels. In the latter case you will want to look at the section on optoisolation.

Also, can skin conductance and heart rate response devices be connected to the Cyton+Daisy Board inputs simultaneously with EEG signals to synchronize data acquisition?

The radio bandwidth available with Cyton and dongle does not have room to append significant amounts of additional data sources to the radio packets. You would probably find it easier to use other additional Bluetooth devices, such as Emotibit.
