Cleaning Gelfree Electrode Cap

etcetc Italy
edited March 2023 in Electrodes

I have a question about the cleaning of the Gelfree Electrode Cap.
I read the instruction at the link:

https://docs.openbci.com/AddOns/Headwear/GelfreeElectrodeCap/#electrode-cap-care-and-cleaning-guide

The question: if I don't want re-use the Hydro-link sponges, is it possible to operate in this manner?
The steps:
1) I disconnect the electrodes connectors from the Cyton;
2) I don't remove the electrode holder out the cap;
3) I take the sponges out of the holders;
4) I rinse the electrode holders and the Gelfree Cap together with tap water;
5) every things (cap+ electrode holders) have to be dry before storing;
Do you think that is it ok?
Thank you very much!

    Hi Ettore,

    My impression is that the recommended cleaning method (removing holders first, then sponges), allows everything to dry faster. If you leave the holders in place in the cap, there are more places for water to stay inside while drying.

    I suggest if you have further questions or comments, you email directly to the address on this page:
