Is it possible to shine light on the eyes to create a steady state of brain waves? Specifically, it is a method of burning a strobe and looking at the light to create a steady state.

    There are many posts here on the Forum and on Google on the "flashing light stimulation" modalities of BCI. These are called SSVEP, steady state visual evoked potentials. And cVEP, code-based VEP. Use the Google Advanced Search button in the upper right column to search on each of these (one at a time).

    Another related field (not BCI) is called Audio Visual Entrainment or Audio Visual Stimulation.
