convert OpenBCI GUI txt files into EDF files?

Excuse me, is there a tool that can convert openbci txt files into EDF files?
Comments
Hi TL730,
There is a "Google Advanced Search" button in the upper right column. Which can find related threads / comments.

Additionally, the OpenBCI_GUI can output in 'BDF' format, which is a super set of EDF. EDF uses 16 bit samples, BDF, 24 bit.

Thank you. I'm going to try.
Unfortunately, I can't open the link you gave me.
The first link above is a search, finding all OpenBCI pages referencing EDF conversion. That does not work for you?
This is one of the pages, which mentions the EDFBrowser app,
https://openbci.com/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/644/interpretation-of-openbci-data-files-edf-conversion
I unfortunately run into the same problem and have a though time converting the txt file with the EDFBrowser recommendet.
Using its "ASCII to EDF/BDF converter" the documentation recommends and trying to open the OpenBCI GUI txt file just produces an error right away.
Is there another tool I can use or something else Im missing?
I understand that OpenBCI cannot necessarily give guidance on 3rd party tools, but the larger question would be how I can convert the txt file the OpenBCI Gui creates to EDF/BDF?
Georg, hi.
The BDF file saving is visible right on the image shown here:
https://docs.openbci.com/Software/OpenBCISoftware/GUIDocs/#access-recorded-data
This would eliminate the need to use the EDFBrowser converter. I don't understand why it is failing for you. But your screen shown has not adjusted the input fields as appropriate: starting line number, number of columns, sample frequency, etc.

Ohhhsh*t, sorry I did totally miss the BDF+ Field. My bad. I should be able to work with the BDF+ format
