Dongle LED turns off after 5 seconds [resolved]

Windows 10 PC, os build v20H2 up to date.
8 Channel headset with Cyton board, turned on set to PC, dongle set to GPIO_6.
Software Version: OpenBCI GUI v5.0.2
When connecting the dongle Windows 10 makes the recognition sound. The LED turns on for around 5 seconds but the OpenBCI GUI doesn't populate anything in the Serial / Com Port list.
I'm a new user who needs some basic troubleshooting steps.

Do I need to download a device driver or firmware? I'm not sure how to proceed.
For Cyton + Dongle, most/all users need to install the FTDI driver https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/ to help the Operating System see the Dongle and use it for communications with the Cyton.
