EIT, electrode connector, kit price without electrodes?

What type of connector do the eit electrodes use. I have a nice set of sintered silver/silver chloride that i would like to use. I prefer them over gold. What would the cost of the eit be without the electrodes

Thanks.

    George, hi.

I suggest you contact Jean Rintoul directly at her site,

    https://mindseyebiomedical.com/pages/contact-1

With that form, or use the email address shown on that page, lower right.

My impression from the documentation, is that the circuit board uses a ZIF (zero insertion force) ribbon connector. This can either mate to the circular tank (32 contacts) or to the 'adaptor', which (image resolution hard to see), appears to 'breakout' the ribbon cable into 32 male header pins. So the gold cups they provide are like the gold cups sold by OpenBCI: female header connector to mate with the male pins on OpenBCI boards. Also see this photo, which shows direct plugin of 4 gold cups to the top surface of the circuit board,

OpenBCI sells a header pin to touchproof adapter, which should mate with your existing electrodes. But note that total cable length may be a consideration. I would ask Jean. This is because various frequencies are run through the electrode cables, and as cable length grows, so does inductance / capacitance effects.

I cannot see an option to purchase the kit without the electrodes, but Jean would know.

    Regards, William
