OpenBCI with OpenVibe

Hi ,

I need to complete P300test. I have Ultracortex mark IV headset and by OPenBCI Gui, I could run cyton board successfully. But when I want to interface with OpenVIbe v 2.2, it didn't connect. Like: It not showing the COM3 port on Openvibe. It means, it can't detect Dongle port. Can you give me some outline ? Operating system is W10.

Rafia, hi.

Have you considered having the GUI output LSL (with Networking widget), then piping that into OpenViBE?

There may be something amiss with your OpenViBE configuration.

No. I just run GUI. Got signals. Then run openvibe. Please give me a guideline. The steps to follow. Or any link. Please please please

Try using the GUI Networking widget. Select your LSL parameters, then use LSL in OpenViBE to receive the stream instead of using the direct Cyton Acquisition Server.

I am using Cyton. Not Ganglion. Same procedure ?

The OpenBCI GUI Networking widget can stream LSL from either Cyton or Ganglion. Both work.

I suggest running the GUI from the Processing IDE if you encounter any freeze problems. These have been happening on Windows because of code signing issues.

I failed. I think I should leave OpenVibe. Lets try Matlab. Do u have any guide to follow using OpenBCI and Matlab ?

My system Windows10, 64 bit.

Were you able to setup the LSL widget in the GUI, to output to OpenViBE? Where did you 'fail'? Did you run the GUI from Processing?

Hi,

I have successfully run the GUI from Processing and able to setup the LSL widget in the GUI, to output to OpenViBE. Now I have to learn more to use Openvibe to run P300 test. Thans for your support. If possible give some link or advice for P300 test.

2. OpenVIBE data aquisition : selected LSL(unstable), connected, playing.

3. On openvibe designer 64 bit, no signal showing.

I am new user. I can run OpenBCI, can connect and play Openvibe and can view signals by OpenVibe designer. But confused how to save the signals in CSV or any workable format. I can save in mxs format only. But I can't work with that while offline.

How to store/save in CSV format ? Please guide me.

@Rafia, I merged your question into this previously existing thread. Did you see the previous post I made referring to this example scenario diagram:

That shows the simplest possible scenario that is just outputing the raw microvolts samples to a CSV file.

I don't understand your reference to .mxs files, these are the files that hold the OpenViBE 'scenario' definitions. They do not have any EEG data, they only show the EEG signal data flow.

Also, your questions might be answered by trying some of the OpenViBE tutorials, have you tried those?

(1) you cannot post an "image link" by pointing to a path on your hard drive such as the one you tried: "http://C:\Users\ra75763\Desktop\New folder (2)/1.jpg". Any thing you link to must be on a server.

(2) To include a Google Drive link, just post the direct link, I tried to adjust your second post, but you appear to have gotten a 'folder' link and not a file link. As an example, a Google Drive link might look like,

Use the 'Share' feature in Google Drive to get a sharable link.

(3) I've suggested previously that you try your OpenViBE question on their forum devoted to OpenViBE,

Hi,
