Undergraduate students at McGill University created a communication system called ChattERP, based on the P300 event-related potential (ERP), a waveform reflecting decision-making, as measured by the low-cost OpenBCI. ChattERP was created with the challenges faced by people with locked-in syndrome in mind.
The undergraduate team made available their methodology and research on Github and demo’d their work art NeuroTechX events.
