Baby EEGs via Incereb

The Irish firm, Incereb, has developed an easy-to-use clinical EEG device for monitoring brain activity of newly born babies. According to the article, about three newborns out of every 1,000 have clinical seizures and this rate increases with premature babies. They also stated that only a fifth of seizures are witnessed on the ward. This technology will provide an additional biometric for doctors and nurses to use when providing care. It will also capture and aggregate this activity for when they are not present.
