Joel Murphy President

(BFA MassArt, Boston; MFA UC San Diego) is an artist/engineer living in New York. He owns a business designing and fabricating electro-mechanical systems for artists and designers. He is on of the founders of Pulse Sensor, an open-source heart rate monitor for Arduino. Joel has been teaching Physical Computing at Parsons the New School for Design since 2006.

He is an avid brain-computer interface enthusiast and has been working with commercial/DIY BCIs incessantly for the last 2 years. Conor is a part-time faculty at Parsons School of Design, teaching Creativity & Compuation and a course titled The Digital Self.
