GUI freezes when I press 'Start system'. Is it Sierra?

Hi all,

I have previously had my Cyton working nicely and recorded a range of data. But since updating to Sierra on my MacBook, the Gui freezes when I press 'Start System'.

I have had a bit of a look through the forum, but don't see any solutions to this so far.

I have reinstalled OpenBCI software for mac, and reinstalled the FTDI VCP drivers.

Still no luck.

Following through the 'Cyton Getting Started tutorial', it all works well up to that point. The dongle is able to be recognised, the toggle buttons on the GUI work, and reports 'System Is Up'.

However, as soon as I press 'Start System' the GUI just freezes and won't go any further.

I'm wondering if there is some incompatibility that has come with the new macOs?

Any help much appreciated!!!

I am really keen to get back into using my Cyton board after a bit of time away, and am starting to regret updating to Sierra, if this is indeed the problem.

Has anyone else run into this? (and come up with a solution?)

Thanks in advance.
